My Background

My passion for making began at a very early age.  No matter where I was or what I was meant to be doing I would always find a way to be drawing or crafting.  It was my dream to become an artist.  As I grew up and developed a greater knowledge of the creative industries available I found that my niche was a combination of art and design, fitting my abstract and decorative style to a practical purpose.  I took the chance to go all in, by taking Design and Technology, Textiles and Art at A Level, I loved all three subjects but I couldn't pick just one to pursue.  The creative freedom from Art, tactility from Textiles and practical structure and application from DT was what I wanted to combine.  I decided the next step was to continue my studies, taking a undergraduate degree in Textiles at Arts University Bournemouth, to broaden my skills and techniques, where I discovered that I didn't have to specialise and that I can combine all my pillars of creativity to fit into the design world.
